Ode to Camp Run-A-Pup

Suitcases came out, so I knew right away,
My family was leaving, they were going away.
I pleaded with my eyes, don't go, that kennel scares me to death,
Then my Mom said, don't be frightened, your going to be staying with Katybeth.
Who was this person they were talking about,
Please, please don't go, oh I wish I could shout.
We arrived at the Kennel, but this was a home,
A nice lady took my leash and said, lets go get a bone.
Now I got to thinking this might not be to bad,
There were dogs to play with, people loved me, soon I forgot to be sad.
Then one day Katybeth said your family is coming for you at noon,
I looked at my dog pals, thought about the fun, and said, really, so soon?
It was all over, my people arrived, my vacation was up,
Next time I won't worry a bit, cause I'll be coming back to, CampRunAPup
